Here in Onne Rivers State Nigeria, every Thursday is a market day and it is characterized with exciting features. It is a shopping day especially for family goods including food items. Usually we looked forward to it, in fact we do suspend most of our buys till Thursday. Let me with this post share some interesting things about this market. As in what makes it special and different from every market around.

FEATURES OF ONNE MARKET DAY
Onne Thursday market day is a unique and very important day for people in my area. This is because of the peculiar nature of how it is being run. Let's look at some features;
All types of goods especially food items are available on the the market day. Usually some items like fruits are scarce around here but come to the market you will see all kinds of fruit whether it is it's season or not you will see them on that day. People come from different part of the country just for the market. They come with different goods to sell. If there is anything you can not find on the ordinary days then wait till Thursday. You will have the opportunity of seeing so many varieties.

Another great thing about the market day here is the friendly price of goods we get. Goods are quite cheap on market day. The difference is so much that you will do anything possible to avoid buying other days just to wait and get it at a good rate on that day.
It is also an opportunity to meet new people and strike good business if you are a business type. You are inspired by the crowd and the various goods you see.
Thank God is Thursday is the slogan here, a time to stock your home with fresh and special food. I love Thursday and I ensure I close early from work. Even when I don't really have what to buy, just to see what is happening and the whole scene is just inviting. Though it is always painful sometimes when Thursday comes and you don't have money to buy what you need.
