David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished. NIV

What was the Lord commandments you to do? What is your life time vision, desire, goal or dream? Success begins when you assume responsibilities and go for it. No matter how gigantic the task, if it is God that has asked you to do it, then you can. Before giving you that assignment, He has made abundant grace available to enable you do it.
This was the message that David was impressing on the mind of his young, inexperienced son, Solomon. David knew the the task before Solomon was enormous. But he also knew Solomon would never succeed by playing ostrich, burying his head in the sand and postponing the day he would face the task, like many people do today. He knew that Solomon was not going to succeed by thinking that some people were going to do the job for him. Yes, the elders of Israel were there, but it was the Solomon that God gave the assignment to do. So it must be Solomon that would carryout and face the task, because it was Solomon that would eventually give an account of his stewardship.
I want to challenge you so rise and begin to act on whatever it is that God had told you to do. Do not be intimidated or frightened by the size of the task. Do not be discouraged or move by who supports you or who refuse to. Please do not perplexed by the seeming lack or resources to do whatever God says. If God has asked you to do it, it only appears as thought the resources are not there, they are. God is only waiting for you to ask and He will start to release them to you.
Conclusion
The journey of a thousand mile, they are begins with the first step. Arise today and attack whatever God has asked you to do. His help is around you. He will help you success
John 9:4 says
As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. NIV
