In his recent autobiography, Patrick Stewart reminisced about the time during the Beatles heyday when Stewart was in a play where one of the other cast members happened to be Paul McCartney’s then-girlfriend. Stewart was a bit of a motorhead and had mentioned to anyone who might be interested that he wished he could afford a DB4. After one of the cast’s performances, McCartney stopped by to pick up his girlfriend. Ran into Stewart backstage and said something to the effect of I hear you like the DB4. Want to drive my DB5? Stewart of course accepted and the next thing he knew he was behind the wheel with McCartney and his girlfriend in the back. McCartney kept asking Stewart to drive faster and Stewart thought I’m going to remembered as the man who killed Paul McCartney.
