Universal Basic Income is being talked about as a necessity. Unprecedented stimulus checks are regarded as no big deal.

To the point where the only debate in Congress was whether an income of 80k or 100k should constitute an arbitrary cutoff point. Not exactly Universal but by now it’s just quibbling over the details.
