The SteemLeo airdrop is interesting. Instead of re-doing the vetting process that PALnet did, they just airdropped tokens to accounts with staked PAL:

That’s probably a smart idea. They’ve piggybacked off of PALnet’s vetting, with a twist. The LEO tokens went to accounts that had staked the PAL that had been airdropped and/or bought more and staked that. Effectively, rewarding those who’ve staked another token, but not those who quickly sold off the earlier airdrop. The more “committed” folks?

Even that twist has a twist. Only for staked and held PAL. At the time of the airdrop, I owned 10,259 PALcoin but I only got 9,259 LEO tokens. Because I had recently delegated 1,000 PAL Power to actifit@actifit. In a comment to one of edicted@edicted’s posts earlier today, I’d said

I wonder if actifit@actifit got the LEO instead.
Meh. Free is free.

I’ve since checked actifit@actifit’s SteemLeo wallet and it appears that actifit@actifit did not get that 1,000 LEO.

Note also that, as of when I posted this, https://steemleo.com was giving an error message but https://www.steemleo.com was working just fine. IIRC, PALnet.io had the same issue when it first launched, but it was quickly resolved.

Well, I staked my LEO rather than insta-selling it. Purely speculative of course.

First PAL, now LEO. An avalanche of airdrops to follow?

Edited to add: It looks like the delegation bit is a known “bug” ( https://www.steemleo.com/steemleo/@khaleelkazi/leo-airdrop-2-to-pal-stakeholders-who-are-delegating-pal )
