I went to The Great Minnesota Get-Together yesterday with my wife, stepson, stepdaughter, her boyfriend, and 198,837 of our neighbors. My son couldn’t make it because he was over in Wisconsin running a 50k race. That would literally kill me but since he’s a healthy young man it merely tortured him.
The Minnesota State Fair has a gazillion things to do, so you have to pick and choose. I waited in line for a full hour to see the crop art, well worth the wait. Whimsy and funny pieces are de rigueur but after Trump’s ICE/BP goons attacked us last winter and spring many of the artists used the invasion as inspiration:

Judge Throws Out Confession by Alleged 9/11 Mastermind
A military judge on Friday tossed out a confession that alleged Sept. 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed delivered to FBI agents almost 20 years ago, finding it was not given voluntarily.
The ruling marks a blow to the federal government’s long-delayed effort to prosecute Mohammed, who is accused of developing the plot to crash planes into the Pentagon and World Trade Center. He is being held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, along with several other defendants who are awaiting trial.
