I made mushroom risotto last night, loosely following this recipe. Instead of half white mushrooms and half portobello that the recipe calls for, I used 1.5 pounds of white and a half a pound of portobello simply because I’d gotten a 1.5 pound package of organic white ones at Costco. Step 6 of the recipe says to remove from heat before adding the last ingredients but I’ve made mushroom risotto five or six times now and have learned it’s maybe better to instead turn the heat way down to a low simmer rather than all the way off and also to add a bit more Parmesan right before bringing it to the table.

Trump Will Still Get Audit Immunity

U.S. officials are continuing with an agreement that bars the government from probing past tax filings from President Donald Trump and his businesses, while a plan to set up an ‘Anti-Weaponization Fund’ is on hold.
Another part of the deal banning any audits and tax-related probes of Trump, his family members and his companies that were started before the settlement isn’t affected by the decision to place the fund on hold.

Well, nobody really thought that the IRS was going to do any audits while a Trump sycophant is in charge of the IRS, with or without a bogus agreement in place. But that doesn’t mean that a future administration will in any way be bound by such an agreement.
