Trump’s $50 Million Mystery Debt Looks Like ‘Tax Evasion’
Always read the footnotes. That’s where former federal judge Barbara Jones, the court-appointed special monitor in Donald Trump’s New York business fraud case, just planted a financial bombshell that legal experts say suggests Trump lied knowingly and repeatedly on his federal financial disclosures about a major loan that never existed — and may have evaded taxes on $48 million in income…
She wrote that a massive chunk of debt Trump has claimed to owe one of his own companies for years apparently does not exist, and never did.

She really hasn’t thought this through. Since Georgia voted for Biden, it counts as blue I suppose.

Nikki Haley Crosses the Rubicon
What stands out about Haley’s remarks is not just that it’s a Republican taking on Trump over sexual misconduct, something that’s almost unheard of since he survived the Access Hollywood tape in 2016. It’s that a top rival is actually addressing the core argument of Trump’s candidacy: That he is the target of a vast conspiracy that stole the last election and is targeting him now in order to steal the next one.
These twin premises, which Trump has spent years working to build up and maintain, have made it virtually impossible to attack him. ‘Electability‘ is not an effective angle when losses are not considered legitimate.
Big Trump Secret About to be Revealed
Trump says he’ll appeal. He has few grounds to challenge the federal court judgment. But if Trump does appeal, it will pull back the curtain on his murky finances, where inflated valuations and concealed obligations are common.
Trump testified almost a year ago that he was sitting on $400 million of cash. Be skeptical. Don’t discount the prospect that Donald conflated his personal money with cash from his MAGA fundraising operations, which by law cannot be used to pay Carroll.

Biden May Slow Weapons Deliveries to Israel
Aren’t House Republicans already doing that?
Lankford Defends Bipartisan Immigration Deal
Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), who is facing blowback from within his party for working on a bipartisan border security package, defended the bill on Sunday, saying his Republican colleagues who have criticized the measure are misunderstanding it.
On Sunday, Lankford said his colleagues had not had a chance yet to read the full text of the bill and said there were “internet rumors” floating around about the measure that were false.

Trump Uses the Courtroom as a Stage
Donald Trump’s behavior as he attended the defamation trial that ended on Friday with a jury ordering him to pay $83.3 million to the writer E. Jean Carroll — and his similar conduct in a pending civil case in New York — showcased his disdain both for a legal system seeking to hold him accountable and for the protocols of courtrooms where he has little control.
His use of the defense table as a stage also provided clues to the public, and a reminder to his own legal team, of how he might handle himself if and when any of the four criminal cases he is facing go to trial. In all of those cases he will be required to be present throughout the proceedings, unlike in the Carroll case or the New York attorney general’s case accusing him of business fraud, both civil trials in which he was free to attend or not as he wished.
