Yesterday I got a chance of clicking Indian Palm Squirrel. Actually a tree trunk is laying down horizontally, in front of our kitchen window. And these squirrels keep running on that trunk for whole of the day. I see them whenever I am cooking something in the kitchen. Often I smile at their activities. Sometimes they fight, at times they compete with each other. It's really entertaining that time馃槀. They come to the terrace too, but there they don't let me click them, they run away too fast. So I clicked these pics from the window of our kitchen.

So these little creatures belongs to the kingdom of Animalia. Bionomial name of Indian palm squirrel is Funambulus Palmurum. It is a species of Rodents naturally found in India and Sri Lanka.
One more thing about squirrels, they are considered to be sacred in Hinduism and so not to be harmed. The stripes on their back are said to be the marks of Sri Rama's fingers., there is a legend in Hinduism related to their stripes. You may read here source
