Srisailam
In this holy month of Savan, I have visited two Jyotilinga, Rameshwaram and recently to Srisailam. In South India, there is basically 2 Jyotilinga and I have visited both of them in this Savana month.
Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple or simply Srisailam Temple is of lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati, located at located at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh.

From my Hotel we can see the Main Temple-

The Srsailam is located in the hills and thus we have to travel through the forest area to reach here. We have started from Bangalore and traveled to MarkapurRoad Railway station by train. From there we have taken the bus to reach Srisailam. The bus took around 4 hours, though the distance was just 90kms. This is because there was heavy traffic in srisailam due to savana month.
As we can see there are many cars-
We have already booked the hotel and thus we checked in the hotel. Though Srisailam is famous for Malikarjuna Jyotirlinga, there are some other places to visit too. So on the same day after freshen up we have taken the auto to visit places in and around Srisailam.
This is our Dharamshala(Hotel), where we stayed. The outer side of the hotel. It is a big hotel.
We went Pathala Ganga by ropeway. There are 700 stairs to go down to Pathala Ganga. But the people can take ropeway and go down there because it is easy to travel there. There are boats available there for boating. I have captured some pics in my phone.
It is situated just 1 km from the main Temple. It is scared river. The devotees dip in this holy river for purify before going to the Mallikarjuna Temple.Pathala Ganga is the backwater of River Krishna.

The vendor is selling flowers, coconut, kumkum and diya(lamp) to offer it in pathala ganga.
Then we went for Sikhareswara Temple-
This is the highest peak of Srisailam. Once we reached there at the top we can see Gopurams(sikha)of the main temple, a clear view by the help of binoculars. One Nandi statue is there which will rotate 360掳.
This temple give very beautiful view of the main temple and we can see the whole town too.
The people are seeing the templ from the binocular. It will cost Rs 5/- perperson to watch the temple by this binocular.

The below pics is of Paladhara and Panchadhara
Pahal means forehead and dhara means stream. Panchadhara means five aspects of Lord shiva.In the purans it is mentioned about panchadhara and paladhara. It is said that this is a stream where the water is originating from the forehead of Shiva. There are stairs(steps) from where we can go down and see the stream. Its approximately 50 steps.
Beside the steps some vendors are selling some shivalinga statue, some Jadi-buti, Beads, honey, chandan(sandalwood) etc.
Paladhara- the water flow is very less, you can see it. In pics ot doesnt came much better.
The people will take this water and sprinkle all over the body.
Temple near Stream-
There is one Ganesha Temple where people use to make house from bricks and stones so that it is believe that owning a house dreams will be fulfilled soon. We also did this. And then we went to the temple. It is very Popular temple. I couldnot take the photos of temple. But it was beautiful Temple.
