The older I get, the more I find myself thinking about mortality. The other day I had visited my friends and had randomly popped out the question, asking them if they ever have thought about their mortality and it turns out I'm not the only one. Every one of them has, on random occasions, thought about it, and for some reason it felt nice knowing I wasn't the only one.
But you see, I do feel a rather much more interesting topic to talk about is that of reincarnation because the other day, I also was having a conversation about it with another friend, and while we were talking about reincarnation and if such a thing possibly exists, I had asked a question that got everyone thinking.
I had asked, what if reincarnation were real and this isn't our first time on earth? What if, the moments we die, we get to be born again, this time in a different body, a different family and country, everything different with absolutely no memories of our many previous lives?
If that were to be possible, do we still consider it to be a reincarnation, considering we have no memories whatsoever of the previous lives we've lived? We all thought about it for a minute, and no one could say anything to counter what I had asked.
For some reason they all thought it made sense. And this is because if such a thing happens, no one would know. I mean, everything is different, and you're a completely new person, or are you?
