One thing that fascinates me is how people's perspective, character, and everything could change; all it takes is time. The quiet guy who barely spoke in class could end up becoming a famous MC who would stand in front of hundreds of people and wouldn't be fazed by it.
Many years ago, I remember I used to tell my friends that when it was time for me to get married, I wasn't sure I would want a big wedding. And I don't remember the reasons I gave to them back then, but I knew it was anything but the truth.
The true reason why I felt I wouldn't want a big wedding was because I was shy. Back then, I always thought about how difficult it would be having to dance with my bride in front of that many people, and that shyness had made me want things to be small.
Well, earlier today, I was listening to a very famous wedding song, and while I was listening to it, I was imagining dancing to it at my wedding, and in my imagination, I wasn't having a small wedding but rather a big one with family and friends in it, and it felt good.
The truth is that throughout the years, I've grown from being that shy kid who wanted something small to a grown man who knows for a fact that when that day does eventually come, I won't be bothered about the crowd because with all my attention focused on my beautiful bride, I won't be seeing anyone else.
And I love it; I love watching and noticing myself evolve, especially when it's from being someone scared or shy to being someone a lot better. It gives me a good feeling that I just can't find the right words to explain.
I guess that means that I might end up having a different thought toward some things I believe right now in a couple of years time, and the thought of that excites me. I can't wait to see what changes next.
