Hello guys, this is my entry to the "Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!". If you want to participate and or read more about the challenge, click here.

I will be testing another new card from the Riftwatchers Series. I have been stuck with my old build but now I want to test some more cards and try different strategies. Hence, I browsed through the market and saw this card.

So, I rented out Bramble Pixie and here I will talk about the best strategies I found using her.

Bramble Pixie is a Heavy hitter doing 3 melee damage on its own. She also has a good amount of health (9 hp). Although, she costs 7 mana but can be useful as a primary tank. Her reach ability also allows her to be placed in the second position and still does damage. So, other than the primary tank she can be easily used as a secondary tank, most useful in high-range mana battles.

Coming with a good combination of defence and offence this card can be used in many compositions. I have shown it with two different battles below. Let's see how well she does in them.

Battle 1

My Lineup

This is my lineup for the battle

Position
Summoner/Monsters
Abilities
Summoner
Wizard of Eastwood
-2 shield
Position 1
Biceratops
No ability
Position 2
Bramble Pixie
Reach
Position 3
Goblin Thief
Sneak
Position 4
Mycelic Morphoid
No ability

This was a standard battle with no modifications to the ruleset. It was an 19-mana cap battle so not a lot to work with. I chose the Wizard of Eastwood as my summoner. It gave the power to retract 2 shield points.

I used a light tank in the form of Biceratops as the mana cap was only 19. It does 2 melee damage on its own. But comes with no abilities at low levels.

Next, I used the Bramble Pixie, she has good amount of health and her reach ability meant that I could use her in the second position as well. She performed well with her defensive as well as offensive duties.

In the third position, came the Goblin Thief, a sneaky monster with 2 melee damages. It can surprise the opponent by attacking at the end of the lineup.

Last but not least was the Mycelic Morphoid, it was used just to utilize my leftover mana. And I placed it in the last to shield my Goblin Thief from enemy monsters that attack from the last position.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube.

Battle 2

My Lineup

This is my lineup for the battle

Position
Summoner/Monsters
Abilities
Summoner
Obsidian
+1 Magic
Position 1
Unicorn Mustang
Void
Position 2
Bramble Pixie
Reach
Position 3
Regal Peryton
Flying
Position 4
Mycelic Slipspawn
Taunt
Position 5
Goblin Psychic
Tank Heal
Position 6
Mantoid
Snipe

This was also a standard battle with no modifications to the ruleset. It was an unlimited mana battle (99 mana) unlike the last one, I had much more mana to play with, So, I decided to go with obsidian as my summoner. She increased all the magic attacks by 1.

In the first position, I placed the Unicorn Mustang as I was expecting a heavy magic attack from the opponent as well. Its void ability would have helped greatly if they did decide to use mages.

In the next position, I placed the Bramble Pixie, utilizing her ability to attack from the second position as well. She comes with a massive attack damage of +3 on her own.

Next, came the Regal Peryton, which is one of the quickest mages available and can have flying ability that makes it much harder to hit during the battle.

Mycelic Slipspawn came in the next position with a unique ability, taunt, that redirects all the incoming damage to this card.

In the fifth position, came the Goblin Psychic, one of my favourites mage from the entire game, deals 2 magic damage on its own and comes with a nice tank heal ability. The only drawback is its low health. It didn't last very long during the battle.

In the last position, I placed the Mantoid, as the only ranged monster. It has overall balanced stats and got fit perfectly in my lineup.

Now we were all set to battle.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube.

Conclusion

I learnt a few things during these battles. Although, I have only shown here two battles but I experiment a lot with Bramble Pixie and I can say that it works well mostly with high-range mana battles or with 99 mana battles.

Using it as a primary tank in low mana cap battles can also work sometimes, but there are better cards to be used for that situations.

There can be many other possible compositions with this card. Feel free to tell me about your experience using it.
