Fear is a strong emotion and it's a conscious awareness of danger.
We may all have experienced fear in some stages of our lives because it's a triggering stimuli and the world we live in is full of danger, disappointments, sicknesses, diseases and negative occurrence.
But has christians, there's a way out,we shouldn't be victims of fear.and we shouldn't allow fear to dominate our lives.
Fear is a tomentor that is why God gave us an assurance in his word.
In Isaiah 41 verse 12-13
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand for I am the LORD, your God,who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,Do not fear; I will help you
God did not give us the spirit of fear,he had already equipped us with power and sound mind.
I know it may not be easy and yes i may not understand what ever you are passing through,but here is the word of God for you.
Isaiah 41 verse 10 Bible
Do not Fear,for I am with You,do not be dismayed,for I am your our God,i will strengthen you and help you,i will uphold you with my Righteous Right Hand
You may be perplexed and dismayed, probably you may be walking through the valley of the shadow of death just as David said in psalm 23 verse 4, or life may be discouraging and you are at the verge of giving up.
The good news is that God is going to strengthen you,he will help you and uphold you with his righteous right hand.
Reasons to eliminate fear.
fear reduces our life span by weakening our immune system
fear kills joy: when there's fear there's no joy and it contradict what the bible says about joy in
fear is a tomentor:
fear hinders spiritual growth.
In the book of Matthew 14 verse 30 says:
But when he saw the wind boisterous,he was afraid and beginning to sink,he cried saying,Lord save me.
The above verse talks about peter who was terrified by the storms and waves when walking on the water to meet Jesus,he was terrified when he saw the wind boisterous,this created fear in him and immediately he began to sink.
It may not be easy but it's important if we take our eyes off the storms and waves of life.
when we focus on the storms of life,they get bigger in our eyes and fear will take a gripped on us, which will cause us to sink.
Just as Peter cried out to Jesus Christ for his safety we can also look up to Jesus Christ who is the author and the finisher of our faith,we can hold unto his word and rely on it for our safety,help, salvation, victory and deliverance.
