A drama genre with the best cinematography, acting, casting, martial arts, action, emotions of love, bucket full of motivation and amazing storyline.
The plot revolves a 12 year old kid named Dre Parker (played by Jaiden Smith) who moves to China with his mother due to her work transfer. There evolving around into atmosphere and daily life he finds many challenges.
There he meets Mr Han(Played by Jackie Chan) who is maintenance guy in his building and he saves Dre from a group of brat children. Later he takes Dre to those children's teacher and ask them to resolve the quarrel. But turns of events took place and Mr Han accepted the challenge from cruel teacher of Kung Fu competition. This bought them to a new journey in the movie.
Okay! the strange part is that the movie is all about Kung Fu but it's named Karate kid, do you know the reason?
Returning back to the plot. The most interesting aspects begins now! When Dre gets the training from the most basic way of living. Like removing his shirt and hanging it to the knob, he got tired of repeating the same unknowing the fact that this was his part of training and many events took place between Mr Han and Dre which led the involvement of his loving mother, she motivated both of them and supported Dre for his new found interest.

The most soothing part was Dre and Mr Han's visit to his Village. The Beautiful mystical place where Kung Fu was practiced everywhere and it led to a magical experience for Dre. He went to see how capable people were and how they balance and calm their body. This inspired me to Learn Kung Fu but here in my city hardly any good class were to be found. I will surely learn one day soon from the people in remote area, that's like one of my goal.
So driving back to the subject the most fascinating thing was a women controlling a snake by balance, concentration and peace, that was indeed magical.

I don't know how they managed to shoot this scene and actually I do not want to know either, let it be magical.
But this made Dre win from one of his counterpart in the challenge.
The way he was trained was so motivating and the songs were amazing.

By the way he lost the last match due to cheating but because of his amazing performance, the winning kids gave him the trophy. That was the emotional part. You need to see it if you haven't, Each event in the movie is mind-blowing.
Since I always write about the Good and bad things of the movie, so here we continue-
The Likable Stuff
- The Marvellous Magic of Kung Fu art revealed here.
- The cast's acting, each character played it well honestly.
- Cinematography is appreciable. specially the mountain part of it.
- The story, which is really moving and motivational.
- Presence of Jackie Chan! (Sorry but I adore the man)
The Unlikable Stuff
- The kid's love angle, I didn't found it amusing somehow.
- Little stretch of events, here and there which was unnecessary.
I have heard about the nepotism angle but I would not like to comment on it since the kid did well and he nailed his role so Let it be a part of discussion sometime else.
