Have you been to a place which houses sports and entertainment altogether? Designed in huge area Pitstop accommodates everything you need to fetch your adventurous thirst.
The modern and sassy design lured me to take my cousins over to the place this weekend.
Twirling around mg road, Gurugram in order to reach Pitstop located in Huda, We made our way to the place by getting struck in traffic jams couple of times and following the god lady of google maps.
This place got a huge parking lot which can easily serve upto 100 cars where we squeezed our car as well. Having enthusiasm to enjoy the weekend after working the entire week. We ran into Pitstop and found ourselves surrounded by jazz music, dim lights, classic ambience and hyped up people.
Making our way through the café and controlling our hunger we rushed to get tickets for go karting.
The strong vibe of the café with it's dark dominating textures and hues including those pendant lighting hanging over exposed ceiling made the view quite lucrative honestly. We felt an immediate urge to sit there and have some food.
Evaluating this from a designer's point of view, we want a place to be that friendly and lucrative that a user finds hard to resist sitting in the environment we created through the design and creative juices. At this point it's a -
Moving ahead towards the most exciting thing we found there is Go- KARTING. For that one needs to obey the rules and get a card made by smaash which is an adventure franchise and has branches all over India.
Just behind the seating area comes the Arcade on the ground level. This place had a reception counter for the cards and just behind it comes the bowling area, which will be revealed later on but for now let's head towards the Go karting area as I can not contain my excitement to showcase about one of the best adventurous sports I did this year and Mind you, I have done para sailing and partial under water snorkelling{ which was the hardest among the rest, due to pressure of water on body}.
As I move past the counter after almost emptying my pockets on paying for my mean cousins.
The staircase to heaven.
Places like these tend to have a lots of lights play which is dominant factor in the interior of such places are quite to impress as I always find the faults in lights. But in this case the lights seems not much illuminated and managing the lux really well. considering the dark furniture and walls being the helping hand of lights making this place look luxurious.
Entire Pitstop is divided into three sections and two levels. In ground level there are two sections and those are Café and the main arcade hall. First floor had just a huge go karting track with couple of arcade gaming machine for the people siting in the waiting lounge to enjoy their time.
We hardly used them and our focus was purely on the karting track and as we get a printed result we bet for the winning spot amongst each other.
One can easily spot the brewery behind the gaming zone as this place has multiple drinks to offer which makes the design complicated for an architect to plan as one has to consider the system of positioning brewery in such a way that it has easy accessibility and reach towards the kitchen area.
That's me with my youngest cousin enquiring about our turn from the reception prior to our match.
This section is the entrance to the track, we get proper lockers as phone and bags are not allowed there. Plus we need to wear helmets and neck support before starting the go karting.
The architecture of this place is grand, which these picture couldn't describe well until you make a visit there.
The best part is the wall with huge viewing windows {as shown in the picture above} in the waiting area, we can witness the race and enjoy.
The racing track was huge and had a mezzanine floor which isn't quite visible in the picture above as it is quite far away, but the track follows towards the mezzanine floor and back here with such sharp curves and slopes. One could witness how huge the truss ceiling is. That makes it more grand as it was beautifully designed.
It is altogether a different experience sitting in those cars as they are too low to the ground and the eye level perspective of a person suddenly changes and track seems more grand. We made our way inside and raced for 6 minutes straight with 8 rounds. The speed and no fear of accident was the best thing in go- karting.
After the screaming and shouting session, I ended up winning. Truly and according to bet my rest of cousins had to buy me food.
After this ultimate thrilling experience of both the design of the track and the sport itself. We headed downstairs towards the bowling alley before rushing towards the food. This place honestly is an entire package of thing to do.
This classy and edgy style of the bowling area was eye-catchy and picture worthy. Many groups found retreat here and enjoyed their quality time with friend and family.
The rough and a dark design is the theme that run through the veins of Pitstop and it has lured many people like me and has been houseful since it got started.
We found this place to be the best, Let me know have you ever visited such a place and done Go- karting ever in life .
