Sorry for the delay in response. I don't log into Hive much anymore.
I consider myself libertarian leaning, although not in some in-group sort of way. I've two thoughts on this. On a personal level, I don't believe most drugs (street, grocery or pharmaceutical) are healthy for us. I think people are generally mislead into understanding what a drug really is, which is part of the issue itself (ignorance). I certainly was (in many ways still am) afflicted in this conditioned ignorance myself.
Having said that, my personal thoughts on drugs being harmful doesn't give me the right to interfere in anothers choices unless it poses a direct immediate threat to me, or transgresses against myself or loved ones. If someone wants to live their life in altered states of consciousness that doesn't harm others (not talking of harm being distaste of others choices), it's not my right to interfere. As ignorant as I am on any purpose our species, or life in general may have (if any at all), who am I to judge the validity of others choices. I can't seem to navigate my own without faith in my preconceived notions. It's between the person and whatever being (if any) that might have set us all in motion.
