I wanted to clarify what I meant by cross posting. On the Peakd platform, you can cross post into different communities. The idea behind this was say someone sees your post and loves it. They believe a community they belong to would also enjoy it. To get the post more exposure, they will cross post the post in question to that community. And by doing so, they get 5% of the rewards it may receive as a new post. I love that use case.

What I see happening is people taking their post and then crossposting it themselves to get extra money on the same platform for the one piece. Where this gets extra dicey (doesn't effect myself as I don't autovote) is if they have people who autovote their posts. They effectively double dip those votes. And, it also enables them to vote twice on their own post themselves.

I'm tired of seeing the same people in my feed having the same post show up more than once. Especially if I vote their post, then when I continue scrolling down my feed see they already posted it earlier and it got most of the votes on that version.

It's a shame so many don't understand this system will work best if you want those in your communities, those you have high esteem for to gain as much as they can. This unique system offers an all ships rising together mechanic I've never witnessed elsewhere.

I really don't mind those who still go post on Steemit, although I chose not to on principle. The ones I will mind are those who stayed over there and talk shit about this place deciding they ever want to come here. There were a few I lost respect for and if they come they will not be pat of what I consider my community anymore.

Yeah, that's insane. I feel bad if I do more than 4 in a week, knowing those who follow me can easily be strapped for votes. I've unfollowed a few in my time here because they post excessively. I try to make sure i can reward comments (meager as they are) on my posts, and no way I could do that at my level even posting once per day.
