Not really, even though we all consider Bitcoin a hedge against the system, the system is all we have.
I worry that many place to much confidence in hedges. Gold was touted heavily in my youth as such, and I remember thinking you can't eat gold, you can't use it as a weapon or tool, etc. In a true free economy (bartering) which is what would come if things collapse, the power in all trades is in the hands of the person who DOESN'T need the item being offered for trade. So those with food, weapons, tools etc would hold the cards when someone with a so called hedge asset comes to the table.
I hear you on your talents, and worse, your time and health is being squandered aka stolen from you so you can subsist. While true I've never been wealthy, much of that has been by choice as I never subscribed to the I live to work motto, but more the work to live. I can say I've earned income in unconventional ways much of my life, which has allowed me a freedom many my age have never known. I would urge you to push yourself to do the things you want, even if at first it demands your time to the point of exhaustion as you set the foundation. The largest illusion they imprison us with is the one we are doomed to failure because many of the first steps to manifesting our dream(s) are valueless since results will be small to nonexistent. However, I can attest to the truth that velocity will play into these matters and one day you will wake up amazed at how things went from zero to sixty so fast when it seemed to plod along so slowly for what seemed eternity.
Good luck carving out your dream instead of slaving for theirs.
