I wonder if you somehow got so large in however it is you influence that you feel you are above most of us. I forget where I heard it, but something wise I heard a long time ago. Be kind and thankful for those you meet on the way up, as you might be blessed with their company again on the way back down.

Good luck in your endeavors, and may you come to peace with yourself that one day you have patience for the flaws and impermanence you're inundated with. It surely is wearing on a soul, but we will always find ourselves wherever we go, our being flawed in so many ways. None of us perfect, one of the greatest battles a man will have is in forgiveness of these flaws. In recognizing forgiving others for being flawed is realizing that we judge ourselves so harshly for being flawed we try to externalize it onto others to hide this from ourselves.

Not sure if you are a man of faith (in Christ), but regardless there are so many pearls of wisdom in that book. One that I think is often overlooked is if God can forgive one for being flawed, are we better than God that we refuse to forgive ourselves and those born flawed around us? I don't understand the purpose for being born flawed, but there must be a reason, and a beauty to it that fits in with the larger plan. But a hard thing, to see beauty in oneself when there are so many flaws it overwhelms one with anger and grief at all those we have let down in the course of our journeys. Never able to travel back and do right by those folks in that time again, the best we can do is to forgive ourselves and step correctly if given a chance in the future.
