I've always been fascinated/curious about stuttering. When I was young (a lifetime ago) there was a huge country star, Mel Tillis, who stuttered when he talked. But when he sang, there was no stutter. Here is a short clip on him discussing it.

I always wondered what changed in his mind mechanics when he changed the cadence of his words. Interesting post, thank you. So much could be solved if there were more kindness.
