I'm not sure if they can fix this without permission from the Peak crew. The ability to crosspost which shares the authors rewards with the sharer on the new crossposted post is an exclusive with the Peak front end. I only discovered it due to someone who has a larger following than I sharing one of my posts about a week or so ago. I was surprised that their post had like 5 times the earnings as my original, so did some digging and found a post by Taraz speaking about it and its possibility for abuse. I think it's a good idea overall as it can gain great exposure and rewards, however as he discussed, if someone is doing it with their own posts it would allow for a lot of abuse as large stakeholders could vote their own post multiple times. Not really sure why anyone would crosspost their own post regardless. Here is the link I found by Taraz on this that helped me understand.

My understanding is that the cross poster receives a 5% share of the rewards from the repost. Once again, not sure why someone would be crossposting their own post other than to try double dipping. I certainly won't be voting the same post twice.
