The conscious human mind does nothing but separate and categorize.
It seems (to me) that life itself is a degree of separation/categorization. From my readings in attempting to dispel my ignorance over the years, common themes seem to be dualism, reference points etc. I suspect it is a necessary function at a base level for life as we Know it, and serves to differentiate the intricacies.
I'm still not sure on the whole we are all one proposition, but find myself leaning towards the energy is all one. I keep leaning towards a definition on life being motion from point A to wherever, which in itself seems to demand categorization. Given the predatory nature of much within life, guessing that it quickly was viewed as a necessary tool for survival. The better one could isolate and categorize, the better one could harness for both offensive and defensive reasons.
Rambling here, and appreciate the opportunity. Usually these types of thoughts stay locked in my head to ponder as I don't find many in life who enjoy such speculations.
