It's been evident something had to change. When you step back and compare to other projects, the other ones mostly only offer the possibility to grow ones wealth by the project being bought up on exchanges. This one offered a unique approach by also allowing for the inflation pool to reward those who helped build a foundation, or those whose posting contributions appealed to those who built foundations here.

Sadly, part of the problem as I see it has come from those whose sole focus has been on the rewards so much they lost sight of the larger picture. It's so easy to lose sight of the fact the project HAS to be about more than daily rewards, that's just one of the benefits. This has been glaring in the whole free speech debate I see taking place so much since the last fork. It's really about paid speech and their anger that they aren't making the same bank they used to from the pool. Their speech is still here, easily read.

I have been on the fence, although I knew something had to change. I have been in shock since the value has done nothing but fall since I joined as I never envisioned such a fall. When I received the we miss you email (assuming it was a form email targeting the masses who left) it really made me see they understand at the top and are willing to cast aside old habits and build what I first saw you label New Steem.

So many bitching since I joined about them not doing anything, they are now doing so much people need to give them a chance or leave.
