This country needs to have an honest conversation. This will never take place as long as the majority of white people allow their tongues to be held hostage with accusations of racism every time inconvenient truths are stated.

Everyone knows what is meant when one says it is a good area to live in or a bad area to live in. It needs to be acknowledged what the common characteristics are of violent areas, and to leave it at poverty is not drilling down enough. For whatever reason, the most violent areas are inner city with certain races as the majority.

How can we figure out how to end the violence (or if it even can be) if this can't be openly discussed. If it is not a hereditary issue (not sure it is based on my exposure to other races who themselves choose not to be around or a part of that dynamic), then it needs looked at honestly to find a solution as to what is pissing them off more than other communities. Regardless of whether it is hereditary, it is just common sense that non violent people of all races want to avoid these areas that are indeed infested with violence.
