I tired to warn the old timers years ago about this when they started complaining that vintage antiques were not selling like they used to or for near as much when they did.

This sums up my warning. Every day the crowd who was interested in these type of items thin as more pass away. The younger crowd has damn near no interest in these things. Something is only worth what others will pay for it, and each day that will become less.

I am glad that for those before you in your family they always had the belief that there was something there despite it not being what they thought. I wondered how many of them may have had hard times but couldn't bear the thought of depriving such a treasure from someone in the family downline who would need it more.
