Hello Mike, BRC-20 tokens are currently the talk of the town but bitcoin maxis are out to ban them. The tokens have caused transaction fees on the btc network to skyrocket, ofcourse the miners are loving this as they get to make extra money. If this continues just like on ETH we will need layer 2 solutions for BTC to scale. Some BTC core developers see them as spam and are rooting to eliminate BRC tokens totally. There's also talk of an alternative in SRC20 tokens . Whatever happens BTC is still here and solid as ever, lets keep watching to see how things go.
