Hello everyone 😻,
Happy hump 🐪 day, and a very warm welcome to my report. We are nearing the end of August, bang in the middle of the week and the stepping continued unabated.
I have had a great day and am about to share it. Definitely thank you for stopping by and let's get into it 💨.
So I started the day with the usual morning walk around the neighborhood. It was a wonderful sunny 🌞 morning, bright and beautiful.
I didn't last long outside and after about 25 to 30 minutes, I was back indoors for the usual house chores including cooking. Later I was on you tube, twitter and checked out the days trending stories.
The evening continued being sunny as I set off for the final walk of the day. Tomorrow, a cooler day is forecasted.
Now lets turn our eyes to what has been trending around the globe.
In Gaza, the mass murder continued with 76 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas😿. Israel is bombing high population areas in Gaza city as it tries to displace close to 1 million people from the area🙀.
They are now flattening homes and buildings in the once buzzling Al Tuffah area of Gaza city🙀.
No word yet on the ongoing ceasefire talks even after Hamas positively responded to the ceasefire proposal.
Across the border in Israel, families of captives held in Gaza and other protesters gathered asking the Netanyahu govt to reach a deal with Hamas to free their loved ones.
Ironically, Israel has called up more than 60,000 army reservists, meaning they will be going on with the fighting in Gaza🙀.
In the other war, even after those elaborate talks in the US, Russian drones are still causing damage in Ukraine. This time a fuel depot in the port city of Odesa was hit causing large fire and lots of damage🙀.
In the US, bringing prominent White House support to the streets of Washington, DC, US Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have visited with National Guard troops at the city’s main train station. Serving them burgers as they encouraged them.
Trump has defended his decision to deploy soldiers in the US capital as necessary to stem a wave of violent crime. City officials have rejected that assertion, pointing to federal and city statistics that show violent crime has declined significantly since a spike in 2023.
Finally in crazy weather, Pakistan trending as floods from heavy rains have caused deaths and damage in the north of the country. More rains forcasted in the coming days💯.
Then in Spain, large crews of fire fighter continued to battle wildfires worsened by high temperatures ad strong winds. Emergency crews from Germany were being expected to arrive and help to put the flames out. fingers crossed everything will be back to normal ASAP💯.
