Hello everyone π,
Happy Tuesday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. I am definitely grateful for this dayπ―. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed π€. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on π¨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session. A short walk that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breezeπ. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigansπΉ kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, Algeria proposed a 6 month transition of power to civilian rule following the coup in Niger. Adding that use of force by ECOWAS could destabilize the entire region.
Still on the continent , Sudan's military leader, Burhan visited president El Sisi in Egypt saying that Sudan will transition back to civilian rule once peace is restored.
Globally, Russia trending as funerals were held for Wagner people that died in the plane crash π. The funeral of Wagner chief Prigozhin Yevgeny was private and he was buried on the outskirts of St Petersburg. Putin didn't attendπ, I guess they fell out because of that failed mutiny.
Let's go across the pond to the US. The appeals court has paved the way for the first bitcoin ETF in Grayscale ruling. The ruling overturned the decision by SEC to block the ETF. The court said SEC's review was arbitrary and capriciousπ. Basically telling the SEC to have several seats and chillπΉ. This sent the BTC price higher to 28kπ. Assuring the Blackrock ETF too, the bulls are coming in a major wayπ―.
Let's go to Asia where Pakistan trending as former PM Imran Khan was rearrested soon after release. The court cleared him of corruption charges that he had been sentenced to a three year term. Another court has brought another different charge against himπ‘. Critics say it's all politically motivated to keep him from running in the electionπ.
Finally in crazy weather, hurricane Idalia is set to make landfall in Florida tonight. There have been mandatory evacuations in some areas just to avoid death or injury.
Meanwhile, Greece has recorded the largest blaze ever recorded in the EUπ. The fire began near the city of Alexandroupolis and quickly spread across the Evros region killing 20 people. My sincere condolenses to the bereaved familiesπ.
So that's about it for today, see you tomorrow on an amazing humpdayπ. Until then, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
