Varanasi or Beneras is one of the most ancient and holiest cities of India. River Ganga or Ganges flows through Varanasi and all rituals ranging from new born's mundan (hair offering) to the last rites of the dead are performed on its banks at Varanasi. People from all over the world visit Varanasi mostly for spiritual reasons.
I have tried to capture the serenity and vastness of the river Ganges flowing through the Ghats of Varanasi through a limited warm palette here.
