Why now?

I've got a couple of reasons to start the #colorchallenge. First of all, I want to make a habit of posting daily. I'm hoping this will encourage me a little. Also, I thought maybe I could touch on some of the things I really enjoy, try to make it personal, so those who follow me might learn a little more about me. And, maybe, it will slow me down for a few minutes a day to observe, to pay a little more attention to my life and the things I treasure.

I absolutely love books. I've got hundreds of them. I'm particularly fond of old history books, dystopian novels, gardening and homesteading books, classic novels and dictionaries.
