It was the beginning of March, a friend talked to me about #Helium network. At first I was blank not knowing what it was. People powered networks got me going since I am used to community network token where you are always in constant communication with each other. Helium is different to social media network. It is more of a mini to wide scale wifi network all over the world with the small radio you see on the picture. As anyone should do I dig deeper and see if it is something worth spending time with.
From the picture above they use an array of little miners you can connect to your home wifi and somehow they connect to each other in your community. It is pretty neat to have. End of March I finally placed the order. Weird to say it was a headache to place the order. Orders were pushed for up to three months. Got to take a leap of faith and I order the bobcat model US edition. These little miners are all over the World. You can see them in a dot on the provided map all over the word. They way they work, they blanket your area with a signal only certain instrument with the same network can communicate with.
By mining you get the token HNT in your wallet. Finally by the end of July I received two bobcat miner that I order with USDC tokens. Everything is through crypto currency. It will take 24 hours to sync with the blockchain. After that 24 hours the miner will do 7 steps within that time it will start mining HNT.
My area in Palm Beach County was almost clear of miner by March 2021. By August it was blanketed to a point the whole county may be covered before the end of the year. I see new one coming online every week. I like the way it works. I can say stress free. It is really plug and play.
Your miner needs to

Luckily you have to do nothing for this to happen. It will happen by itself. I already earn more than 2 HNT since connecting one miner. The second one is at a friend house 3 miles away. There are other steps you can do to earn more. Watching youtube teach me a lot but I do not think I will go that crazy like stronger antenna with dbi and installation. Florida weather is not that pleasant so I am fine with indoor installation.
This area in the map used to have a maximum of 10 miners. Just look at it now. If you go down South it is more populated with miners all over the place on top of each other. One hexagonal in Miami has 14 miners altogether and they are earning big. I think one person could find a way to purchase them, either selling them or place them strategically to mine Helium
WHY USE HELIUM NETWORK?
I do not think the idea is to compete against the Telcos as what they do. It is more an alternative network for other things that need a widespread network for service around the area covered.Helium uses the LoRaWan network in the US and now Europe. The range is long enough than Wifi. The pricing for a company using Helium Helium is a fraction of the cost if they use the Telcos. The Telcos offered a similar service but you know the price can be exhorbitant. Helium can be used as an internet of things for anything you want to control in the house.
When I was doing my research they are many other companies doing the same thing Helium is doing. It is not easy to get the miners. It takes months since the demand outpaces delivery. At one time I thought I lose my crypto since I was so long yes, four months. Hopefully I get my crypto worth mining Helium. The price is around $13+ with Helium.
The use case of Helium is widespread. There are many companies putting Helium to good use. So far I know Salesforce is part of the companies pushing Helium. It is good to have other networks doing the work of monitoring. It is good as well for regular folks to participate in the network. More than 30k miners emerged in the past 30 days worldwide it shows it is growing and there is room to grow.
So far Helium network is huge in Europe and the US, China. I see huge opportunity in South America and Africa. India is coming as well. It is to show this network will benefit high population area and even remote area as well. Looking at the network it shows the penetration of crypto currency around the world. I wish privacy is not an issue for the miners cause the system shows close to where it is installed. Actually only folks with Helium in mind will spend time to decipher where each miner is positioned. Big task at hand. At the end of the day all miners have a name to identify in the system not relevant to the owner so it is safe.
If you need to earn HNT token, visit the site and order your helium miner. There are many to chose from and do not forget the settings vary to your location. Be patient cause it may take months before you receive your miner. Make sure you have decent internet service before you place your order unless you will place it at a business location. You need constant internet service to connect to the internet. The miner need internet to check itself and verify with the blockchain. It will not make you go over the allotted bandwidth. Yes I look for that in my research.
