Have you ever had a moment when you just knew the situation was more that what meets the eye?A Winnipeg, Manitoba woman did when she found her house had been broken into on the cold winter afternoon in December. To her surprise the intruder was just leaving the back door when she spotted the 17 year old girl. She found the girl wearing her jacket and watch, and other articles normally found in her wardrobe in bags the girl was carrying.
Leah Ross's motherly instincts kicked and she realized that there was something more here. Once she realized she was not in any danger, she gently asked the girl to come back in and have a chat. She learned that this girl was not a criminal but a little girl scared and had gotten herself in a tough situation.

What would you do in a situation like this? Would you get mad and let your emotions take control, or would you let your instincts tell you that this girl needs help. To me this story is a great example of stopping before acting irrational and follow your gut. This girl was in some kind of trouble and instead of pegging her as a trouble maker, Ross realized she needed more than a scolding.
Giving that kind of love is rare and is a blessing to know that it can occur. What a great story to make you feel good about this world and faith in humanity
