Just give it a try next time if you have a tomato left. It's amazing what you can plant with kitchen leftovers. Less than 20% of al my plants and herbs I've bought. One of my next posting will be about what you can do with leftovers from the kitchen. You will be surprised! Oh, and my parsley took very long to sprout, but I have a bit now :)
