I love this challenge. Patterns, you see them everywhere. So the most difficult thing is choosing a good picture :) As a diver I opted for an underwater picture. Below you can see pictures of tubeworms.
The ones you see here are known as Magnificent Tube Worm (Protula bispiralis). They can reach 4cm. As soon as you come too close, it will withdraw into the tube, hence the name Tube Worm. You just have to wait a couple of minutes and you can see the "flower" coming out. It looks like you watching a fast forward movie of the spring of a flower. But you will see this in a few seconds :)
The tube worms are filter feeders and they use their feathery tentacles.
You can find these beauties on hard coral or on sandy bottoms.
