Finally, over the last few days, the weather has been warming up here although we're having it dip back down to -27 degrees Celsius tonight. Here you've got to get out and enjoy what ever warm weather we get.
It was warm enough that even JJ came out for a short bit getting all frisky. This didn't last long for his tender tootsies couldn't handle walking in the snow so he was soon meowing at the door.

Bruno seemed even happier with the milder weather for he could stay out longer without getting cold.

The birds are more active too and singing more with the warm weather.
When I go to fill the feeder they start coming around waiting for me to clear out so they can come in for a feed.

With the mild weather the animals started moving around and although I didn't see them their tracks were in the snow. I was surprized that we didn't have squirrels coming to the feeder but it was extreme cold weather so they must have been tucked in cozy in their nests and rabbits in their burrows.
There were lot's of rabbit tracks -

There were some tracks of a big buck but they got covered with the fresh snow before I got a picture same as those from a young deer but the doe tracks were still visible.

The picture below looked like the squirrel was leaping over the snow drifts from a cozy spot under a fallen tree

There was a funny track down by the well house door that had a drift in front of it. It looked like a bird had come down to get some grit by the door and it's wings touched the snow taking off out of that dip.

Most of the icicles had fallen off the sun room but this one was hanging on with a thin thread of ice but had grown quite big and long.

The final picture is some young growth of spruce which had a light dusting of snow. That seemed to be the pattern - as soon as it got warmer we would get a snow fall.
