This is just a quick test and experiment on D.Tube. If everything goes well and gets successfully published where and how it's intended, it will be edited on Hive to add the right and relevant content.

For some time, I've been thinking to post a few small videos on the Hive blockchain. Yep, and for this I was obviously thinking of doing it on the most popular video platforms connected somewhat to the Hive blockchain. Yeah! of course, decentralization, freedom of speech, immutability, censorship resistance, eternity, big upvotes and blablablablah. You know? };)
But as many of you probably know, this has not been and is not easy for me. Especially living in a place where my lousy, crappy and extremely bad connection to internet plus the frequent blackouts in the area where I am prevent me from doing it way too often.
And day by day, every day, for more than a year. I've had no choice but to wait until midnight, enduring cold, awake until dawn to be able to work. Because during the sunlight I don't have the minimum bandwidth to even be able to open the page of Google Search. Let alone be able to work on Hive or anywhere else online all day long.
But nonetheless, these have not been the only obstacles that have been preventing me to upload videos. There is a lot more. By instance, some odd contradictions and suspicious discrepancies with the instructions in the GUI and dashboard of these video platforms and websites to use them and upload videos on the Hive blockchain.

Since when do you have this same problem and have not yet edited, modified or corrected it? As far as I can remember, it has been at least over a year when I first tried this operation and I refused to complete it because it did not make any sense what it required. ¡What the hell! ¿My Private Active Key? Really? For what?
They first say that they require my posting authority. Only my freaking POSTING authority. And then, when I write in the blank space my freaken Posting Key it doesn't do shit. We can't click the darn NEXT blue button to go ahead and continue the process.
Obviously, they were expecting that I enter my fucXing private ACTIVE key.
However, what we should all really ask ourselves. It's how it is that these guys with so many announced reforms, improvements and updates that they say that have done to their platform. Why the heck they have not yet corrected, edited, modified or clarified that stupid discrepancy and incongruity between the need to use the private posting key or active key to complete the signup and be able to upload videos right away? ¿Huh?
And not only that. Previously, I had to deal first with the cute problem of: "A password reset is required for your account" A problem for which I also had to waste a good deal of time to solve. Since nowhere in their website seems to be any specific answer about what the fuck that meant. So, I decided to put on my gray hat and set out to find out.
First, I visited their server at Discord looking for some answers. I could find NONE.
I combed their chatrooms up and down looking to see if someone has asked the same question before and gotten a satisfactory answer. There were NONE.
What really abounded everywhere, were complaints from many people who could not upload and publish their videos on the platform.
If anything, all you could eventually find there was a somewhat truly "helpful" hint about how potentially solve the issue:

After a few minutes of throwing some delicious swearing, curses and blasphemies left and right. I tried to test something else.
Since I am kinda stubborn, I decided that I would go ahead with the experiment until it was solved. I adjusted my gray hat to my big head and after a while I found the answer on my own elsewhere. And that is how I was able to obtain the freaking screenshot that I have shown you above and what justifies this funny tirade. ¡Wadda bunch of snobs!
Once 3Speak was totally discarded for this mission. I decided to give D.Tube a try. I had already registered on this platform earlier since much longer. Around four years ago.
But since then, I never used it again because due to the deficiencies in their storage system with the early IPFS protocol, I lost a large number of videos that could never be played again due to their failure to guarantee the immutability of our content.
However, since they have made a lot of changes, modifications, improvements and updates to their platform since then. I decided to try them again. Now, they even have their own token and blockchain infrastructure. The DTC token on their DTube Chain.
But as always happens. Nothing runs very smoothly the first time without some kind of inconvenience. And this was no exception. Everything went very well until the moment of pressing the publish button. That's when it suddenly gave me this cryptic error:
Sheesh! ¿What the fuck is that? I asked myself. Then, it occurred to me that it could have been because I had changed the post headline of what by default the D.Tube platform had established as the name of the video.
So I put it back as it was, with the name of the video, and hit the publish button again.
Nah! Nope! Nothing! The cryptic "Invalid Timestamp" error message reappeared.
Then, all of the sudden it occurred to me to take a quick peep to my blog in Hive.
Holy Moly Mascalzony. Both posts were already published there. Evidently duplicated. But since both posts had already been voted, I could no longer delete any of them. And this is how they will stay. ¡Duplicates!
Either way this post and daring experiment had only one main purpose. Pay a debt!!
