Following with my battery of naughty experiments on Dtube, to test the newest and very welcome features that came out with the exciting updates of their DTube v0.9 edition.
That in the link above was using their new feature "Post from URL" and in that first one, the video was shared directly from my Vimeo channel.
Q.- What platforms are supported for the "Post from URL" feature?
A.- Most current video platforms: Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, Dailymotion.
So, this time, this short video has been through a new experiment trying to share it directly from Facebook. And I've already confirmed that these actually might be shared too. But with many hassles & setbacks. There are and apply certain conditions to do so and be successful. But I guess I'll explain all that to you another day.
In this opportunity, I have to clarify that this video has been published while I was logged in on both. On my Dtube account and also on Steem simultaneously. Not only on Steem like I did in the first experiment. So, let's see the results and how this will pan out.
Unfortunately, at the moment the textual content editor in their UI and dashboard is pretty basic and poor. With no visual feedback of the general appearance of your post. But well, I guess it's because this platform is aimed mainly to Vloggers, Streamers and people of few words in writing. };)
Oh! I chose this video for many reasons. But to make the story short, let's say that this has been because right now I'm under a fucking slow ass internet connection through my mobile data plan in which there was no method, mode or way to search, find and get the URL of the videos that actually I was looking for. Which were extremely & painfully slow to load. So I gave up!! :p
But since I wanted to participate in their new 2,000 STEEM prize challenge. I imagined that this would be a good way to try to suck to these guys some drops of blood, DTCs & Steem/SBDs.
But as I have the hunch that I will fail miserably in that project, I will conminate you to take revenge and destroy the upvote button below with the heaviest VP you can afford. Obviously, once you have read the whole post to cheer me up a little bit my day. :)
Edit: Well, I'm not sure why yet. But apparently something went wrong sharing that Facebook video on Dtube. I dunno if it's due to my bad internet connection or something else that I can't play the video as it was supposed to appear. Maybe I should flush my browser cache or something. But I won't!!
So, if it's not just me and you want to watch the video as it should be reproduced correctly, then simply click here. And please, report back here in the comments section below if it's more about a 'bug' of Dtube when you try to share videos from Facebook URLs in their platform. Thank you!! :)
