Si estas pendiente de observar a la naturaleza que te rodea, seguramente te encontraras con algún insecto entre las plantas y es que entre estos dos organismos se han establecido diferentes tipos de relaciones y entre estas la de alimentación, en donde por supuesto las plantas son el plato suculento que ha permitido a muchas especies de insectos mantenerse por millones de años, las hojas son el alimento de las larvas, ninfas y adultos.
If you are attentive to the nature that surrounds you, you will surely find some insect among the plants and it is that between these two organisms different types of relationships have been established and among these the one of feeding, where of course the plants are the succulent plate that has allowed many species of insects to stay for millions of years, the leaves are the food of the larvae, nymphs and adults.
Un ejemplo de estos insectos son los saltamontes, pertenecen al orden de los ortópteros, que se caracterizan por tener las alas rectas y emitir un sonido característico con su cuerpo.

Quien no ha caminado por el monte y ha visto a los pequeños saltamontes brincar sobre la hierba? Este saltamonte que encontré sobre las hojas de una planta llamada platanillo, no se inmuto cuando me acerque a fotografiarlo y cada vez que me acercaba rotaba su cuerpo y yo podía escuchar un sonido muy leve que hacía con sus patas.
Who hasn't walked on the mountain and seen the little grasshoppers jumping on the grass? This grasshopper that I found on the leaves of a plant called platanillo, did not change when I approached to photograph it and every time I approached it it rotated its body and I could hear a very slight sound that it made with its legs.
Estuve leyendo sobre estos insectos y me llamo la atención el círculo de color amarillo que se observa en su abdomen y resulta que es el tímpano, por donde el saltamontes escucha. Sus largas antenas le sirven para captar los sabores. También llaman la atención sus largas patas traseras, que le permiten realizar saltos y moverse con rapidez , aun cuando no vuelan.
I was reading about these insects and I was struck by the yellow circle on their abdomen, which happens to be the eardrum, where the grasshopper hears. Its long antennas are used to capture the flavors. Its long hind legs also draw attention, allowing it to make short jumps.
Un insecto muy interesante y además hermoso que podemos ver muy comúnmente entre las plantas.
