Greetings to all Splinterlands players! It's time to make Battle Weekly Challenge this is a popular event held by Splinterlands every week. I want to discuss the battle in Splinterlands, the theme is actually Magi Necrosi, but I don't have a good battle with that monsters, so I change it to Antoid Platoon, a Monster from Fire element with 4 mana cost.
This post is about a new battle after the last EOS in the Modern Format Gold League, I played with a Scholar account from Balthazar. The deck used for this battle was made up of several Max Level Chaos Legion cards, some Neutral cards, and old reward cards obtained from both buying them and receiving them from other Scholars. Although there are still numerous old reward cards that have not been acquired, particularly Legendary ones. Right now the old reward card has been stop and no longer be printed, they change it to the new reward, the Soulbound card.
The guide presents tactics on how to advance through the ranks by utilizing reasonably priced monsters that can still prove effective. By using the example of cards, it is clear that climbing to Champion 3 can be accomplished with a deck that doesn't require a large budget.

From left to right :
Even Stevens, only monster with even mana cost can be used.
Melee Mayhem, All melee monsters can attack from any position.
Reverse Speed, monsters with the lowest speed become faster under this ruleset.
Mana Cap 58
Can Use the element Fire, Water, Earth, Death, and Dragon.
Based on the ruleset for this battle, there are some guidelines that we can follow:
In this battle, we decided to use the Dragon Element and use the summoner Quick the Devious which can reduce the enemy's damage range and speed by 1.
Yes, we violated the rules or guidelines that we made above to avoid summoners that could reduce the enemy's speed, the reason being that this is the only summoner in the Dragon element that we have. In battles where the mana cap is high, usually, the Dragon element will be used because have many monsters with great damage, although the mana requirement is big.
And for the second element that we can use because choosing the Dragon element is a monster with a fire element, taking into account that many monsters in the fire element have low speed and there are also monsters that have void Armor (reduces magic damage by half) and can add as many melee attacks as 1 (inspire abilities).
With the new card reward from the soulbound deck, we also have monsters that can add armor to the fire element.
The monster lineup that we will use is as follows:
The summoner
Tusk The Wide, First position - Tanker and Support
I put this monster in the first position because I'm afraid that the enemy bring many monsters with Magic damage in Earth element. This monster has Void ability which can decrease the enemy's magic damage by half. Have a good support skill Inspire, because all monster we bring is melee monster, and this skill is very useful.
Djinn Chwala, Second position - Attacker and Tanker
Chaos Dragon, third position - Attacker
Drybone Raider, fourth position - Attacker
Ferox Defender, fifth position - Attacker and Support
Antoid Platoon, sixth position - Attacker and tanker
Weakness :
Round 1 :
As usual, the battle starts with buffs and debuffs, we can see that all of our monsters on average have a lower speed (faster in the reverse ruleset)
because it is reduced by the slow ability of the enemy Baakjira and Diamond Dragon.
The enemy brought a summoner that can reduce melee damage to the enemy by 1, luckily we brought Tusk the Wide which increases the Attack of all melee monsters by 1.
All of our monsters focus on attacking Baakjira except for Chaos Dragon which has a random attack. All of our armor also increases by 2 thanks to the buff from Ferox Defender.
Many of our monsters' attacks miss even though they already have the fastest speed of 1, this is due to the Blind effect of the Chaos Dragon.
In this round, we can see that Djinn Chwala's enrage is active because he was hit by an attack from Chaos Dragon.
Round 2 :
Unfortunately, our Antoid Platoon was attacked by Chaos Dragon this round, it already has 6 HP because of the scavenger abilities and reduce back to 3.
Round 3 :
The enemy Cornealus who has Thorns and Return Fire is quite difficult for our monsters because many times our monster's attacks are affected by thorns and return fire, so decrease our armor and HP.
Cornelius finally died in this round being attacked by Djinn Chwala.
Round 4:
Our monster Tusk the Wide dies in this round, with the death of Tusk the Wide all of our melee monsters have 1 damage reduced.
Our Djinn Chwala damage reduces by half because of the ability of Arkemis the Bear.
Round 5 :
The enemy Chaos Dragon dies in this round taking damage from Drybone Raider.
Our Djinn Chwala also died from being attacked by the Diamond Dragon.
In this round the enemy is still dangerous because of the Diamond Dragon who has the last-stand ability, all of his stats will increase a lot when he's the only one left in the battle this time.
Round 6 :
The enemy Archemis the Bear dies in this round from an attack from the Chaos Dragon.
With only the Diamond Dragon remaining in the enemy team, it causes the Diamond Dragon's last stand skill to activate. His HP and speed increase by 1, while Armor increases by 5 and HP increase by 4.
With 15 armor and 8 HP, it will be difficult for our monsters to kill it because all of our monsters are melee or archer type monsters.
Round 7 :
4 our monsters VS 1 enemy monster.
No monsters died in this round, Diamond Dragon armor remaining 11 and HP 7.
Round 8 :
Our Chaos Dragon dies in this round
The remaining enemy Diamond Dragon has 5 armor and 6 HP.
Rounds 9-13
We immediately skip to round 13 because the battle didn't progress, only our melee monsters kept attacking the Diamond Dragon's armor and finally managed to hit his HP.
In round 13, all of Diamond Dragon's armor was destroyed and 1 HP remained.
And at the end of this round we can see that Antoid Platoon, which at the beginning of the round 1 only had 4 HP at the end of round 13, has become 11 thanks to its scavenger ability.
With HP 11 and speed 1 which is the fastest speed in the Reverse Speed ruleset, victory is definitely on our side, because an enemy monster is unlikely to be able to avoid our attacks even though it is backed up by the flying skill that belongs to Diamond Dragon.
In this round, the Diamond Dragon finally dies from being attacked by the Antoid Platoon, and victory is on our side.
Yes, the strategy of using Tankers which have void abilities to deal with enemy magic attacks, inspire abilities which increase the damage of all melee monsters and the ability to add armor from Ferox Defender really helps our monsters on the back to last longer and kill enemy monsters faster. Antoid Platoon can survive until the last round, and the HP already increasing a lot, to guarantee our victory.
The enemy summoner is actually better than our summoner because it doesn't reduce the enemy's speed, but the enemy makes the mistake of bringing 2 monsters that have slow abilities, which makes our monsters have lower speed, so they can attack first and increase the chances of avoiding attacks. Djinn Chwala's enrage skill is very useful because it gives great damage when activated.
