Greetings to all Splinterlands players! this is my entry for Battle Weekly Challenge this is a popular event held by Splinterlands every week. The theme today is Aimless Ruleset, in this ruleset all monster with range and magic damage have Scattershot ability, the monster attack hit a random enemy target.
This is a battle in the Modern Format Diamond League, I played with my scholar account from Balthazar.
The guide presents a strategy on how to advance through the ranks by utilizing reasonably priced or cheap-to-rent monsters that can still prove effective.

From left to right :
We will first talk a bit about the aimless theme of this battle, with this ruleset magic and range attack type, will randomly attack monsters in any position, so for this ruleset, I think we need :
In a battle with high mana like 55 highly recommended to use the Dragon element, because many monsters in Dragon have great damage, speed, HP, Armor, and useful skill. The weakness of the Dragon element is the high mana cost.
This is our lineup from left (first position) to right (last position) :
| Summoner/monster and Abilities | Description |
|---|---|
| Quix the Devious (summoner), make all enemy monsters' speed and range attack decreased by 1 | Very good summoner for this battle, usually in the scattershot ruleset the enemy will bring several monsters with range attack. |
| Djinn Chwala, 1st position, Attacker and Tanker. Has the ability Thorns, Enrage, and True aim | With 6 armor and 10 HP this monster is suitable to become a tanker, he has high damage too, and always hit the target because of his ability True Aim. Thorns will make any melee monster attacking this monster will get 2 damage. This monster will get higher damage and speed when the Enrage Ability is activated. Enrage Ability can be activated if this monster's HP decrease. |
| Carnage Titan, 2nd position, 2nd tanker and attacker. Has the Reach, Double Strike, and Shield abilities. | Can attack from 2nd position because have Reach ability. This monster has high armor of 7 and good HP suitable to become a 2nd tanker. The power of this monster is in Double Strike abilities, with this ability can attack twice each round for a total of 8 damage. The Shield ability make the damage of melee and range monster become half. |
| Chaos Dragon. 3rd position, attacker. Has Flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind Abilities | Has great magic damage of 4, moreover has the Blast abilities (Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster). The support ability of Flying will make this monster a higher chance to evade melee and range attacks by 25%. Add with Blind Abilities for a greater 15% increase in dodge ability for all friendly monsters. I put it in this position to be safe from enemy attacks, and to be able to attack more before it dies. |
| Naga Assassin, 4th position, attacker. Has Backfire, and Swiftness abilities | Put in the 4th position, if Lira The Dark died at least still has this monster to increase our Speed. Swiftness, the most important ability for this battle, increase the speed of all monster by 1. Every time enemy monster attacks and this monster can dodge the attack, it will give damage back by 2 to the enemy monster. |
| Dhampir Stalker, 5th position, Attacker. Has True Aim and Deathblow abilities | We use this monster because of the high damage and True Aim ability, this monster attack will always hit the enemy. The speed is not that great so we put this monster after Lira the Dark. |
| Lira the Dark, 6th position, Attacker and Tanker from Sneak attack, have Opportunity, Ensnare, and Swiftness Ability. | Put in the last position because of high speed. Hope can evade 1-2 attacks from melee with a sneak ability. Swiftness ability combine with Naga Assassin ability to give higher Speed. |
Round 1 :
The battle begins with buffs and debuffs from both sides.
Round 2 :
At the end of the round, we can see the enrage activated by Djinn Chawala make the damage and speed increase by 2.
When the enemy Sand Worm misses attacking our Dhampir Stalker I call this lucky again, only have 1 speed difference + Blind from Chaos Dragon for a total 25% increase chance to evade and our monster manages to dodge the attack.
Rounds 3
Our Side :
Enemy Side :
In this round, we can see that luck is still on our side when the Naga Assassin and Dhampir Stalker focus fire on the enemy Dhampir Stalker and killed it.
Rounds 4 :
Nothing to discuss here because the enemy only left 1 monster the Sand Worm and easily killed by Djinn Chawala, and the victory become ours.
Yes, our strategy is going well, looks like the enemy hope that the scattershot will hit our backline weak monster and the enemy bring high damage sneak monster to help achieve destroying our backline. Our Strategy focused on a high attack in front to destroy their frontline monster, and I think the lucky attack of Chaos Dragon on Harklaw which make our winning easier. For the backline defense, we leave it to the monster with high speed and manage to survive despite the death of Lira the Dark.
And as I said before Luck is on our side this time.
