Hi, everyone I spent my weekend in Salento, a part of Puglia.
I think almost everyone in the world knows about this region of Italy, and my first photo I shared is about the poetry cave.
This water cavity is impressive, there is also a tunnel underneath that goes into the sea.
In that place I spent the whole day on Saturday, the sea there is too beautiful, it looks green!!!
To enter inside this space you pay 3 uero, but you have to be careful about the height of the water that can exceed 5 meters! by the way I am not even able to swim, it is a problem for me!!!
I prefer to lie and sunbathe on the beach at Rocca vecchia, a beautiful sea, but also a beautiful beach with very fine sand, and then Italians go to the Maldives when they have them right next door.
There are already quite a few people on vacation at this time pero August is much worse.
There are nice signs, so that you can't get lost, too bad I only had to stay the weekand had to come back, because I would have taken a trip to Otranto, another beautiful local
My mother is of Pugliese origin, but when I come to these places I always want to eat something typical, one thing I really like is orecchiette with turnip tops, a true specialty of this land.
Basically for those who are not familiar with them, it is a type of pasta, which is seasoned with turnip greens which is a very tasty green plant.
I hope you found the account of my weekend very interesting, and I hope you enjoyed the photos, I will definitely return next month to these places to take a longer vacation!
