RE: A Pretty Bag of Tomatoes
I'm pretty sure it's a "Maritime" thing but if you have lots of green ones you can make a preserve called Chow Chow with them (basically pickled green tomatoes and onions)

RE: This Boy Is Tired - Luke's Respiratory Therapies
I feel for you Luke....pneumonia is no joke. Adding it on top of asthma is brutal (never mind the other "regular" challenges ). I know respiratory therapy is like running a marathon up a mountain.

RE: Wow! THAT DENTAL WORK! - The Equine ( horse ) Veterinarian Visits
Same issues there too (a bit less physical but the high stress wears you down even more...suicide rate for vets is sky high compared to other professionals). My advice....go to med school (or whatever

RE: Wow! THAT DENTAL WORK! - The Equine ( horse ) Veterinarian Visits
Well my jaded, broken-bodied "you'll be 10-15 years working like a dog trying to pay off monsterous student loans on a crappy salary" says don't do it....but if it's truly in her blood that won't

RE: The Natural Gardener - Austin, Texas (A Beautiful Nursery To Visit)
I'm all for herbal remedies if well researched. I tend to reach for those 1st for patients, especially with chronic problems. Have you tried acupuncture with Luke? Not sure if he'd tolerate it but it in

Yes...I heard the lastest bomb destined for an Austin address blew up at the Fed Ex depot. I think as long as you avoid delivery trucks all is well there

RE: Rotational Grazing VS. Mowing? - Homesteading Chores
As long as you're rotating you may be surprised. It's good to keep them off their regular pasture for a week to let the grass get a chance to bounce back. If there's one species that can destroy pasture

RE: The Reason I WAS LATE TO WORK This Morning IS SCARY!
Always scary! We have 2 sets of gates as well and still worry about this happening (and we're on a fairly busy road). I know someone who's horses all got hit due someone purposely opening all the gates

RE: IS IT DONE?
This brand sadly isn't available in Canada (getting it shipped would more than double it's price 😑) but I've got a similar 5-tier system arriving tomorrow. Along with a foot or 2 of snow 😒
