This movie may have a different fanbase. If not, it should be! I watched the movie with great patience till halfway, the story became interesting from the middle.
Movie: Sideways(2004)
The sideways movie is an adapted screenplay from a novel by Rex Pickett.
(Rex Pickett)
It also won an Oscar - Best Adaptation Picture. This means that the director Max Payne did not show the novel exactly as it was written in a very skillful way.
Looking at Sideways, it seems that the writer who wrote this novel is obsessed with wine. He actually wanted to write a whole story about wine only. And interestingly, there is only one thing that can be said about wine - it can't be believed without seeing the sideways.
The story goes that two friends Derek and Miles. The wedding will take place in front of Derek, the week before the wedding he wants to come with a bachelor trip with his best friend Miles. His friend Miles teaches English in class eight at a school; Outside of that he is a budding writer, a script for his book in a publication with that being said, Miles has to go through a struggle over whether the book will be published or not.
They plan a week in the Santa Jones Valley, known as the Wine Country. There they travel all over the valley on road trips, visiting various restaurants to taste the wines of various famous brands. The valley is rich in black grapes. Wine is made by processing those grapes after fermentation. This thing is very well documented in the movie. Miles is a very familiar person with wine. The story becomes interesting when they meet two girls named 'Maya' and 'Stephanie' at a wine restaurant there.
The movie has a very intense place. There Miles asks Maya how she got so interested in wine. Maya then explains to Miles a philosophy of wine. The completeness of the story about wine comes there exactly and makes sense.
The whole movie is made in a comedic atmosphere. The background score has blues matched with wine in perfect flavor. And that's right undefined It is unthinkable that such a deep sorrow of loneliness will be shown in the ending. But by diverting from there, the cinematographer has shown a perfect dramatic ending. At the end of the day, the story didn't go unnoticed at all.
Thanks for the reading.
