A series on ECHO was finally announced on Disney+ Day. So today I will discuss ECHO and its origin.
ORIGIN OF ECHO
Echo's first appearance was in the 1999 Daredevil comic. ECHO's real name is Maya Lopez. Maya lived with her father, Willie "Crazy Horse" Lincoln, after losing her mother at a very young age. When Maya was 9 years old, Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin killed Maya's father. But before Maya's father dies, the Kingpin gives one last wish to watch over his daughter, after which Maya's father dies with a bloody hand on Maya's face. Kingpin fulfills Willie's last wish. Kingpin then admits Maya to a boarding school because Maya was very poor in studies since childhood, meaning she was a kind of disabled in studies.
Maya then notices one of her special qualities while at the boarding school is that she can learn something without having to practice it. Then with this special ability he became a very good pianist, then Learn a lot more by watching athletic dance. When the kingpin finds out, the bad intentions of the kingpin teach Maya a lot more about Boxing, Marshall Art, Acrobat, telepathy and many more. After learning everything, the kingpin sends a man named Matt Murdock to explain that the kingpin is not a bad person.

Then Maya goes to Matt Murdock as kingpin says. But she falls in love later and a relationship develops between them. Then when Maya asks the kingpin who killed her father !? Then the kingpin says Daredevil has killed his father. Maya then learns all of Daredevil's fighting skills by watching videos of Daredevil and Bullseye fighting to kill Daredevil. Maya then prints a white handprint on her face, just as she did with the bloody handprint when her father died. He then confronts daredevill and easily loses daredevil. But whenever she goes to kill daredevil, she sees that daredevil is none other than her boyfriend Matt Murdock. After that Daredevil tells the truth that the Kingpin killed his father. Daredevil knew that Maya's father was killed by kingpin, so kingpin lied and told maya to kill daredevil. Hearing this, Maya went straight and shot kingpin in the eye.
After that, Maya has been tricked since childhood to leave America without telling anyone in the hope of a new life. When she returns years later, she finds Matt Murdock now in a relationship with a blind girl, and learns that the kingpin is alive and locked up in a prison cell. Maya and Matt then go to visit the Kingpin at the jail. Then the kingpin tells Maya "You did the right thing, you don't need to regret it, and I don't regret what you did to me, I thought you were my daughter then and I still think you are my daughter". After hearing this, Maya leaves without telling the kingpin and meets an old friend of her father's and wants to know where she can forget everything and find peace.
Then her father's friend sent Maya in Japan And it was here that Wolverine became friends with Maya. Wolverine continues to train him in Japanese culture and fighting Japanese crime. With Wolverine, Maya finally forgets everything and has a peaceful life. He then returned to America and joined the NEW AVENGERS team under the name RONIN with the help of Daredevil. Then slowly he started working for the Avengers team.
