I really believe in Goodwill’s mission and I would be really happy to work for a company dedicated to empowering the underprivileged. They’re super lgbt friendly and everyone there is so incredibly nice . In my opinion Goodwills are important; I have a pretty big one down the road and I have found some neat stuff there.I go to Goodwill all the time! What not everyone notices is that they are all very local-oriented and do a lot of charitable work to employ people, teach them skills, make them feel welcome in a community. My local one created an affordable housing unit for seniors without family not too long ago.
Something I learned during my tour of the headquarters is that anything that isn’t sold after some time is repurposed, refurbished, or recycled, nothing is thrown away. They’re big on sustainability.
