I come from the days when Sincler was a super computer for the home.
Unfortunately, I personally got my first computer back in 2000. And ... it was a four ... 32 RAM, 16 megabytes vidyah and 120 megabytes hard.
Yes, yes, at that time it was considered still a good typewriter for typing, and there was something to play with.
And I liked to play!
Then there was no such riot of colors and possibilities as in the current computer games.
The graphics suffered, the computer hummed sadly, loaded, the hard drive just cracked, loading this or that game ...
But we played and spent time recklessly enjoying every hour in the virtual world.
My first toy on the 3-D shooter list was Heretic.
It was noticeably different from DOOM-2 in colors and saturation, which I once chopped into.
By the way, they were cut and on the net!
The head did not think about anything at all. And 4-5 hours could fly by completely unnoticed.
But it was a game of reaction and, I confess, sometimes dodging some kind of crap rushing at you, we almost fell off the chairs. )))
But I liked strategies more.
Warcraft from Wargus held a solid position among other games.
But the apologist for everything was such a toy as Red Alert Command & Conquer!
Several years have been devoted to this toy. Special maps were made and the felling went among 6 people for several hours.
And, although there was a pivasik with a fish nearby, we could not tear ourselves away from it.
This continued until I tried a toy like ...
Yes, Heroes of Might and Magic from New World Computing.
It was and will be the thing that came up and down with all the cards, addons, and which even dreamed of at night!
An incredible turn-based strategy game that completely captured us.
I tell us because we played it with friends, sometimes returning home quite late.
Then there were Heroes-3: The Revival of Erathia.
I've been waiting for this game for half a year! Even for a very long time I kept a poster with the game's promotion.
And among the first ten discs that first appeared in Kharkov - one was mine!
Then again there were addons, new maps, various additions, but the Revival of Erathia was my first CD.
Then came Half Life and Counter-Strike, which people still drive.
And that's all. Other shooters simply disappeared.
A dynamic engine, the capabilities of the hero, the map - everything dragged on to madness!
And, of course, this toy with its unforgettable erondondon!
Still, strategy and RPGs remained in my favorite games as well.
Space Rangers of the first and second parts also did not pass me by.
By the way, a really very interesting toy!
Including there was such an addictive thing as Neverwinter Nights.
Neverwinter nights were the outlet when I came home from work. )))
After that there was a long break, as life must be lived, and not constantly played.
But life went on and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
all the parts are gone through again, eyes red from lack of sleep, a swearing wife and I in headphones until dawn ...
But despite all the games, their number, and the time spent - I do not regret that I participated in this.
Yes, this is a detachment from reality, yes, I could do something else useful in this world ...
But what is - that is. And you can't get away from it.
Play, have fun, but do not forget that our life is a GAME too!
And in reality, the graphics in it are better than on the monitor.
But the script of this GAME - write yourself - this is your life.
