On Tuesday, March 28, Polybius Bank took part in The Blockchain Summit in London. As expected, the conference was attended by many representatives of the largest British banks, as well as brokers and insurers.
The main topic, as the name of the conference suggests, was blockchain and its application in the financial sector. First, we presented eID and digital banking, but the audience was interested how exactly we intend to use blockchain. While explaining the subtleties of SSL keys and password-less authorizations turned out to be quite a challenging task, the principle of storing operational data and documentation in a blockchain-ledger with timestamps and eStamps was more comprehensible.
In general, the conference gave us a feeling, as if they wanted us to buy blockchain solution like "we'll put you a monitor in the monitor” and very few attendees understood the impracticability of certain things, the concepts of which were presented.
The pleasant surprise was the number of questions we were asked by different professors from technological universities, who remain on the wave of the latest technologies despite their advanced age.
