If you keep up with HipHop currently you may have heard of Chance the Rapper, he's a young and extremely talented Chicago MC but we're not here to talk about Chance. He is however a part of a talented group called SaveMoney and today we're going to talk about one of their members Joey Purp.
Joey currently has one mixtape called iiiDrops, the name is clearly a play on eye drops however the spells eye with iii instead. This was done to also make a reference to what is known as the third eye or the minds eye, so what he's actually saying in this mixtape is that he's trying to gain more mental clarity. I hope that's not too confusing.
Now that I've given a little introduction to who he is lets let the music do the talking
I'm a big fan of the art of freestyilng but not many people are but just In case you're a fan of freestyling here's also a video where you can check out his freestyling ability.
Joey is lyrical and a good message but he's so far from preachy, he's actually very well rounded, both persons who are fans of more current rap or purists who prefer older styles and content of rap can also enjoy it so lets display a little more of his fun side here to give you guys a better understanding of his scope as a rapper. Don't forget to tell me what you think down below, if you have any under-rated rappers you would like me to review also leave that below.
