Mount Levitana is one of seven hills above the Volga, at the foot of which is located the small town of ples. Landscapes attracted a young, future great artist-Isaac Levitan. There were other famous artists and famous people in this town, but it was Isaac Levitan who was most closely associated with Ples, having painted a lot of his great paintings here.
